Kevin Sweeny, M.D.

Dr. Sweeny grew up in the Spokane area. He received his undergraduate degree from Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA, and his medical degree from the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. Dr. Sweeny began his medical career in 1985 at Doctors Hospital in Manteca, CA, as an emergency room physician. From there he became the medical director of the Alzheimer's Disease Care Unit at Hillhaven Convalescent Hospital in Modesto, CA. During this time he worked as the attending staff physician in the Family Practice Residency Program at Scenic General Hospital in Modesto, as well as a practicing family physician at Family Health Care Medical Group of Modesto. In 1990, Dr. Sweeny relocated to Spokane and became an emergency room physician at both St. Lukes Hospital and Fairchild Air Force Base before joining Rockwood Clinic.

Dr. Sweeny worked as a family medicine physician at the Valley Rockwood Clinic location from 1990-2004, serving as managed care medical director and as a member of the board of directors. In 2000, he was appointed interim CEO, and in 2001 elected board president. In 2004, Dr. Sweeny’s role was expanded to chief executive officer and president of the board.

Medical Director

Robert G. Benedetti, M.D.

Robert G. Benedetti, M.D., nephrology, received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University in Stanford, CA, and his medical degree from the University of Washington in Seattle, WA.  Dr. Benedetti completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at St. Luke's Hospital in Denver, CO.  He completed his fellowship at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in renal medicine also in Denver.  He belongs to the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Internal Medicine with a subspecialty in nephrology. Dr. Benedetti is the current medical director and has been a physician with the Rockwood Clinic nephrology department since 1986.

Associate Medical Director

Gary Knox, M.D.

Gary M. Knox, M.D., family medicine, received his undergraduate degree at the University of Oregon in Eugene, OR, and his medical degree at the University of Oregon Health Sciences in Portland, OR. Dr. Knox completed a residency at Family Medicine of Spokane in Spokane, WA. He belongs to the American Board of Family Medicine. He has special interests in family practice, pediatrics, and sports medicine. Dr Knox is also the assistant medical director and has been a physician at the Moran Prairie Rockwood Clinic since 2000.

Chief Privacy Officer

Glen Stream, M.D., MBI

Glen Stream, M.D., family medicine, received his undergraduate degree from the University of Washington in Seattle, WA, and his medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine also in Seattle. Dr. Stream completed his residency in family practice at Swedish Hospital in Seattle, and belongs to the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Stream is the medical director of clinical information services and the chief privacy officer.

Laura Hill

Laura Hill provides oversight of the Human Resources function for the organization.
