Colon Cancer
Spokane, Wash. - Rockwood Clinic and Premera Blue Cross continue the19th year of HealthTalks with a November 4th, presentation. Surgical Oncologist Dr. Gregory LaValle will present the latest information on colon cancer.
Few cancers are as easily preventable as colon cancer. One of the risk factors for colorectal cancer is a family history of this disease. Did you know that you are more likely to develop colon cancer if you have a parent, sibling or child with the disease? If more than one family member has colon cancer your risk can increase 2-4 times. A person’s genetic background is also just as important factor for determining colon cancer risk. We will discuss detection, prevention, and causes of colon cancer.
HealthTalks is free and open to the public. It will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the main downtown Spokane Rockwood Clinic, located at 400 E. Fifth Avenue, in the second floor conference rooms.
