The Rockwood Pediatrics department is a group medical practice composed of pediatricians and pediatric nurse practitioners. Each family should select the provider of their choice. We understand that the person you choose is important, and our mission as a department is to provide your child the best care possible.

Our Pediatric Care Team

Pediatricians are primary care physician who are specially educated in the care of infants, children and adolescents. Pediatric providers aren't just about shots and growth charts. They are concerned with the child's entire spectrum of development-physical, mental, social and emotional.

At Rockwood, our pediatric providers work as a team and share their collective experience and knowledge to ensure that our young patients receive the latest diagnostic and treatment options available. With a family-centered approach to keeping children healthy, we answer your questions, provide education, and give reassurance and encouragement to you as a parent.

Pediatric services are offered at these locations for your convenience:

Appointment hours vary by location. Please contact your pediatrician's office for specific details regarding their schedule.

After Hours

We know that not all pediatric concerns or illnesses occur during office hours. After-hours calls are triaged by nurses who offer advice and may direct patients to seek after-hours care at an urgent care center or the emergency room. You may call (509) 838-2531 to speak with an after-hours consulting nurse.

Making an Appointment

To make an appointment, please refer to the pediatric offices listed. If you are not certain which physician your child should see, or if your child has special needs, we are happy to assist you in matching your request.

  • We prefer to schedule appointments in advance because it helps us plan our day.
  • We reserve sick-call appointments every weekday, made on a day-to-day basis.
  • If your child is ill and needs to be seen that day, please call after 8 a.m., as the appointments are arranged on a first-called, first-served basis except in an emergency.
  • If you are calling to make a routine well child appointment, please wait until after 10 a.m. if possible.
  • During office hours we are available for well-child exams, yearly physicals, consultation visits for developmental and chronic physical problems, as well as appointments for illnesses, injuries or immunizations.
  • Ready to schedule a pediatric appointment?  See the location information at the right for a Rockwood Clinic pediatric location and phone number.

Well-Child Visits

Well-child care truly is one of the greatest values in medicine. A whole year of preventive or well-child care costs relatively little, and provides huge value in both quality of care and in the costly illnesses and injuries that are prevented, keeping the child healthy not just for that year, but potentially for a lifetime.

Annual well-child visits are now covered without a co-pay or out-of-pocket cost up to age 21. This includes a physical exam, growth charting, blood pressure screening, vision and hearing screening, vaccines, developmental/behavioral assessments, and guidance on injury prevention, nutrition and more.

Referrals can be faxed to (509) 755-6543.
