Radiation Therapy Center
The Rockwood Radiation Therapy Department provides a
comprehensive, compassionate, and state of the art cancer
treatment. A team of highly skilled professionals is
dedicated to providing care for the whole patient. The major
goal of radiation therapy is to deliver an effective dose of
radiation to destroy tumor cells while minimizing damage to the
normal surrounding organs.

The Radiation Therapy Department utilizes an integrated
multi-disciplinary approach by working with many specialists which
include oncologists, and surgeons. This approach results in
the best course of treatment for each patient.
Lisa Maestas, D.O.
Lisa Maestas, D.O., radiation oncology, joined the Rockwood Cancer Treatment Center in July 2014. She received her undergraduate degree from the State University of New York in Postdam, her Master of Science in Health Fitness Management from The American University in Washington DC, and her medical degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg. Dr. Maestas completed an internship at Winthrop Medical Center at the NY College of Osteopathic Medicine in Massapequa, and a residency in Radiation Oncology at the New England Medical Center in Boston and Providence, RI, through Tufts University and Brown University. She is certified by the American Board of Radiology and the American Osteopathic Board of Radiation Oncology, and is a member of many organizations including the American Society of Therapeutic Radiation Oncology and the American Osteopathic College of Radiology.
