Sports Performance

Whether you are looking to boost your athletic performance, or lose that frustrating 20-30 pounds, Rockwood's customized programs are based on years of proven research and effective results.  We offer personal, and small group coaching to people of all ages who want to improve their general and athletic, sport-specific skills/abilities in a safe and fun environment.  This is not a health club, and there are no membership requirements.  Our training staff and facility are here to provide you with the support and resources to enhance your exercise experience and achieve phenomenal results.

At the Rockwood Sports Performance Center our mission is to provide you with the best experience, both individually and in small groups (3-6 persons), focused on improving your power, speed, agility, strength, balance, coordination and flexibility.  Whether your focus is more power for football or flexibility for gymnastics, we have developed sport-specific training programs for every person and sport.  Our scientifically based training programs place an emphasis on proper mechanics and execution with all exercises.

Based on individual evaluation, a professional trainer will design and supervise your conditioning program/regimen.  We constantly assess the progress of our athletes using many different evaluation tools including Dartfish, a video motion analysis tool which allows the trainer and athlete to examine sports related movements in frame by frame detail.

Sports Performance services are available Monday through Friday, and every effort is made to accommodate the individual's school or work schedule.  Hours of operation periodically change due to sports seasons and the academic schedules of our clients.  We also offer specialized camps and seminars for athletes, coaches, and other groups throughout the year.  We welcome questions and are happy to give tours of the Sports Performance facility.

Nick Hedgecock, BS, CSCS

Nick is a native of Portland, Oregon and attended George Fox University. He pitched on the Varsity team for four years while obtaining a Bechelor in Science with a double major in Athletic Training as well as Allied Health. Nick is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist. Nick has played baseball his entire life and his statistics as a southpaw at George Fox Univeristy from 2005-2008 boast the following; he holds the record for the most games pitched, is ranked 2nd in total saves, tied for 2nd in most saves per season, 2nd in lowest amount of walks/9 innings, 3rd for most games pitched in a season, tied for 4th in most shutouts, tied for 6th in least amount of losses, 6th in most complete games, 7th in total innings pitched, 8th in highest number of games started, and 10th in total strikeouts.
